Flexible design controls. Better font sizing. Fancier timelines and tables. All consistent with your brand.

You now have more control than ever over the look and feel of your Dock workspaces.

From section styles to font sizing to upgraded widgets, we’ve rebuilt the workspace design system to give you the full power to create workspaces that feel bespoke to your brand (so your Marketing team can sleep better at night).

Design every section

Every workspace section, block, and column now supports our new design system, giving you full control over:

  • Background and border colors
  • Rounded corners
  • Shadows

These updates also apply to most Dock widgets, so everything stays cohesive.

Just select a section and click the little blue Design icon to pull up the new design panel. If you’ve set a brand color palette, it’ll be right there waiting for you.

Our new design panel lets you customize the look and feel of every section.

It should feel a lot like editing a slide deck—without the pain of actually building another slide deck.

This design panel lets you control the borders, backgrounds, and shadows of every section, block, and column, like this:

You can now customize all the section, block, and column borders and backgrounds.

Why does this matter?

When customers click a Dock link, they’re not just opening a workspace—they’re experiencing your brand.

As Luc, our Head of Design, put it: “People trust us to be a point of contact with their customers. They need to be confident we’ll deliver the right experience when someone opens that link.”

That’s the heart of Dock’s design system: more control to make every section feel like your brand—polished, professional, and trustworthy.

Smarter font styles

The new design panel also brings more font styling options, so you can fine-tune text with:

  • Font weight (Light, Regular, Medium, Bold)
  • Strikethrough text
  • Letter spacing
  • Line spacing
  • Uppercase
Pull up the design panel for a column to set the font stylings.

We’ve also simplified the default text sizes in the text editor to follow a Heading 1/2/3 system. Or you can ignore our suggestions and choose your own font size.

The font toolbar has more helpful default sizes now.

Revamped timelines

Dock’s timelines let you visualize progress for a customer—whether that’s on their mutual action plan or customer success plan.

The timeline widget now reflects the new design system with background and font colors, icons, and smoother editing.

You can also:

  • Drag and drop sections and resize widths
  • Edit names, descriptions, dates, and progress in-line, with fewer clicks
  • Tie milestones directly to key dates
You can beautify your timelines too.

The upgrade is fully compatible with your existing timelines—so the transition should be smooth.

Fancy new tables

We’ve completely rebuilt Dock’s tables to make them easier to build (at least easier than that IKEA table you swore would only take 20 minutes).

Customize fonts, colors, and more for every column, row, or cell.

You can now:

  • Adjust column widths
  • Style columns, rows, or individual cells
  • Align text
  • Enjoy smarter text overflow and spacing
Tables also have the new design panel.

This means your tables not only look better, but are actually useful for sharing complex information with customers.

Collapsible text sections

By popular request, you can now add collapsible text sections—perfect for FAQs or that long fine print that only Legal cares about.

Collapsible sections help you hide and show long sections of text.

Wider workspace section canvas

Also by popular request, we’ve widened workspace sections so that they take up more of the available screen width (from about 900 to 1172 pixels).

We’ve also cleaned up section padding and margins for a more balanced look.

More breathing room means cleaner layouts, easier-to-read content, and a more modern, web-like feel for your customers.

Dock workspaces now use more of the available screen width

Plus lots of other recent design upgrades

This design refresh builds on other workspace improvements we’ve launched in recent months:

  • Revamped contact cards with role-based assignments
  • A page icon and emoji picker for more visual control
  • The new editor sidebar for faster navigation
  • Better copy and pasting

Coming soon, we’ll also have revamped price cards to better showcase your offerings.

Together, these updates give you more ways to make every Dock workspace feel polished, professional, and unmistakably yours.

We always appreciate your feedback, so if you have any questions or suggestions, send them to support@dock.us.

Happy designing!
